Adopt a Water Trail

Much of Capitol Water Trails' work revolves around removing large obstructions from waterways, including dead trees, abandoned tires or farm implements, and other large debris. Unfortunately, this makes it hard to keep up with the litter collection that is often necessary on these waters and abutting shores. As much as we try to pick up trash along the way, we could use some help! We are starting this Adopt a Water Trail program so that organizations or individuals can provide support to keep our wonderful waters clean. This support can either come financially or in directly keeping a section of water trail clean. Either way, we're happy to work with you or your group to find the way you can help the most.

If you choose to make a monetary donation to keep a section clean, this will of course be tax deductible and we'd be happy to provide you with any documentation you need. An investment of time though, can naturally be even more rewarding for you. We've had many groups participate who can't say enough about how good it feels to remove trash and take in the natural beauty that's there to be discovered. Contact us at cwt@capitolwatertrails.org to find out more!
